'Morris' has arrived
The fossils of the Camarasaurus-like sauropod we dug up in Wyoming this summer have arrived in our lab.
'Morris' - whom we named after the Morrisson formation where we found him - has arrived in two trucks full of plaster jackets containing his fossil bones.
Morris comes from the same excavation site as Allosaurus 'Arkhane', which is on display in our Gallery of Evolution. He was found about 250m from Diplo Dan, which is also currently in the preparation lab. Both are from the upper Jurassic and are about 155 million years old.
We also excavated a smaller dino this summer. Dryosaurus is an ancestor of our Belgian iguanodons from Bernissart.
