RBINS offers access to the marine ecosystem through the research vessel RV Belgica, the rigid hull inflatable boat Tuimelaar and its scientific diving team.

The Artificial Hard Substrate Garden is a fully marine open-water experimental test site, spanning the entire water column. This facility is available for ecological experiments, material tests, (anti)fouling

trials in open-water marine environment.
