International Women's Day 2025
On 8 March 2025, the Institute of Natural Sciences wishes to celebrate women, diversity and equity!
Today, we are affirming and continuing our fight for diversity and inclusion for a richer and fairer society, for research without discrimination, for everyone.
The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences encourages progress and diversity, and wishes to show its support for all Belgian and international researchers. There can be no research without diversity and international collaboration.
The Institute is working towards balanced and inclusive representation within each of its departments and teams. Commitment to equity and diversity is at the heart of our Institute's values.
On 8 March, we support women and researchers in federal institutions in the United States whose hard-won rights are under threat.
Our encouragement for women starts with our action to promote access to science for young girls. The celebration of 8 March will take the form of the Girls Leading in Science competition finale organised at the Institute in collaboration with the non-profit organisation BeWiSe on 12 March.
