Press dossier - exhibition WILD?

They’re wild! Who is « wild »?

What does “wild nature” mean to you?

This exhibition will awaken your curiosity and stimulate your critical thinking.

A confrontation with different representations of the wild : exotic? remote? dangerous? untouched? Explore the boundary – is there one at all? – that separates wild animals from humans.

Observe, marvel, and wonder… Natural sciences flirt with philosophy, anthropology and poetry.

Films, interactive elements, and scientific collection pieces offer a brand new perspective on domestication, safaris, animal parks (including the former Brussels zoo!), and animal behavior.

Discover the domestication story of the wolf and eight other animals. Be amazed by Belgian wildlife: wild boar, beaver, fox, black grouse and Lynx. Take a moment to look at intriguing images from wildlife observation cameras.

They’re wild? We’re all wild! What is our role as human beings? Is humanity threatening or threatened itself? A major challenge awaits us. Are you ready to contribute?

The exhibition “WILD?”, an emotional journey to meet wild animals and yourself. Between fear and fascination.

To experience and share. Come alone, with family or in a group. Ages from 11 and up.
